EVERLASTING VIEW FUND RAISING AND LAUNCH
Click on the relevant topic below to read about Everlasting View
Everlasting View project which is being launched this year is to give a helping hand in integrating ex offenders back into the society with particular reference to the youth in Newham under 25 who have gone through the criminal justice system.
This Project is a tripod consisting three departments namely Befriending and Mentoring;Education and Employment ( BEE) working together to give a second chance to ex offenders and integrate them into the society in order to sustain them and prevent them from going back to prisons.
Everlasting therefore creates chances, instill a sense of responsibility into its service users and create independancy
The befriending and mentoring begins two months before the release of the offender and it carries on when the person comes out of prisons. This enables us to build a profile of his/her needs in order to help integrate the person into the socitey.
Emphasis are laid on training in the vocation sector, finding a suitable employment, finding a suitable course or education and getting proper accommodation in order to be able to get settled in the socitey without going back into reoffending. Our team team signposts ex-offenders to the resources that can help them achieve housing, employment, education, recovery from addictions, family relationships, healthcare, and debt and benefits. Our Local church would also offer a variety of resources, and willing congregation members who volunteers assist ex-offenders through of writing CVs, filling in forms and preparation for interviews.
We therefore entreate you to donate to this cause in order for us to uy and house these three department under the same umbrellar. Please clink on the buttom on the right handside to donate. You can also clink on the relevant buttom to read ble companyout the project
